Wow, it's been too long
Ok, here we go.....again. So a couple days before Christmas, Hilary and I go to a Christmas thing at Mt. Hope Church. Honestly, the production wasn't bad, I was just upset about the after effects. I expected there to be some prayer, which I am fine with. I am a Christian, so I have no problem with prayer. What I have a problem with, is some random pastor telling me I'm going to Hell simply because I don't ask God every moment of my life to forgive me. I believe in God and Jesus, I read the Bible, I'm not opposed to religion. But I am opposed to people constantly telling me I'm going to Hell, especially before they even know my fuckin' name! As you can imagine, Hil and I had quite the conversation afterwards.
Well, to get the evil taste out of our mouths, we went to see a movie. Despite my mother's objections, we went to Celebration Cinemas. Personally, I didn't see anything wrong with this place, but whatever. We saw The Ringer, with Johnny Knoxville. How in the world did Johnny Knoxville go from Jackass to hot ass??? Seriously, I love him. Yes Hil, we've been over this, he's yours. But I can still drool!!! By the way, The Ringer was cute, pretty funny. I liked it.
Christmas Eve, well, that was boring. Christmas was good though. I got soo much. So here's the list....Books: Jarhead, Anna Kerenina (in Russian and English); Movies: The Mummy, The Mummy Returns, The Scorpion King, The Boondock Saints, Patch Adams, Gone in 60 Seconds, and Real Genius; Clothes: pajamas, a sweater, and a robe; Music: Josh Groban's first CD; Misc: two Boyd's bears, and an MSU Santa Ornament (Notre Dame is overpowering the tree). My mom got a coffee/cappuccino maker, but my sister-in-law has to show us how to make good cappuccinos and mochas.
On to the day after Christmas. I went to Ann Arbor to see a good friend of mine, Carranda. We went ice skating with her nephew and sister. I only fell down once, but I felt that the next day!! I spent most of the afternoon and early evening with her and her family. I played Uno with everyone, that was so much fun. I really miss her, she lives in Florida now. But it was an awesome day.
Tuesday, I filled out an application for a job. After that, I went home to meet my parents. We took a truck-load of hay to the barn, where we checked on my horse, Ashbar. He was colicking, but not too bad. For some reason, he just wouldn't drink! I walked him for a long time, thank God it wasn't cold! We eventually called the vet, that was an ordeal. He wouldn't let her put the tube into his throat, but eventually he lost.
That brings us to today. I get a phone call to come get my parents, because the truck lost a serpentine belt. They just needed my car to get a new belt, that was all. Ashbar still wasn't drinking, so he recieved a high dose of pure iodized salt. After awhile, he had no choice, so he started drinking again. Meanwhile, I was at home, dealing with the idiot of a dog. I took him for a loooong walk around the field, but that didn't phase him. Stupid dog. I did manage to get a card out to my pen pal in Kuwait, at least I did something productive today! It really wasn't that bad of a day, I can't complain too much.
Well, that's about all I can come up with for now, so auf wiedersehn.
